hahha i just thought i could tell you that:

i couldn't find any blue rose in the city. nowhere. i've been looking for it runnin' around for, liek, agees... T____T
so i went to fleurop and asked if it works to dye a white rose. they didn't know.

i mean, helleeew? they're the freakin' flower-experts, not me! gaawd...

they told me to try... it was so depressing.

anywayyz, so i bought the bloody white rose and spent another few hours runnin' aroung looking for food coloring... manor told me to go to migros, migros told me to go to coop and coop told me to go to manor. AAAWWWR!

eventually i found it in hertenstein drogerie...

then i went home, poured the food coloring into normal water and put the rose into the blue water.

and waited.

and waited.

and waited.

then, after about 2hrs, the stalk started to get blue. i was thrilled. later on, after like 5hrs, the petals also started to get sum color. it wasn't royal blue though, more like turquoise, but still very pretty!

the next morning [ my dad's b-day ] when i looked @ the rose it wasn't rlly blue, or turquoise, but all the petals [ but the ones very inside of the rose, which are still white ] had got turquoise on the very top and looked like someone had spray-painted them, kinda speckled...

that was what the rose looked like when i gave it to my dad. i think he rlly liked it, though.

just wanted you to know, that it's not easy to get a blue rose. or food coloring. [ well, now it is... ]
gaahh... dying the rose - or trying to dye it - was actually fun, though. mayB next time i'll try a different color, purple would be awesome!

erm yah, it turned out quite well. interesting, at least. i think to get it totally blue i would've needed more coloring...
